Shingle Roofing: Troyer Roofing Limited Workmanship Warranty
Troyer Roofing is dedicated to providing the highest quality roofing installation and craftsmanship. This document outlines the terms and conditions of our Limited Workmanship Warranty.
I. Warranty Duration
This warranty is divided into two parts: the Troyer Roofing Workmanship Warranty and the Shingle Manufacturer’s Material Warranty.
A. Troyer Roofing Limited Workmanship Warranty
Duration: Five (5) years from the Date of Installation Completion.
B. Shingle Manufacturer’s Material Warranty
Duration: Forty (40) years from the Date of Installation Completion. This warranty is provided exclusively by the shingle manufacturer and is subject to their terms and conditions. Troyer Roofing is not responsible for claims or defects related to the materials themselves.
II. Troyer Roofing Workmanship Coverage (5 Years)
This warranty covers improper installation and craftsmanship performed by Troyer Roofing personnel. If, during the five-year period, a defect arises due to the installation process, Troyer Roofing will repair or replace the affected area at no charge to the Warranty Holder.
Specific elements covered against improper installation:
- Flashing
- Step Flashing
- Caulking and Sealants
- Any leaks resulting directly and solely from improper installation.
III. Exclusions from Troyer Roofing Workmanship Warranty
This Limited Workmanship Warranty DOES NOT COVER damage caused by the following:
- Acts of God/Weather Events: Damage resulting from severe weather, natural disasters, or other forces outside human control, including but not limited to hurricanes, tornadoes, lightning strikes, excessive winds, hail, or natural movement of the building structure.
- Improper Maintenance: Damage resulting from the Warranty Holder’s failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance to the roofing system (e.g., clearing clogged gutters or debris).
- Alterations: Damage resulting from any modifications, additions (such as satellite dishes, solar panels, vents, or antennae), or repairs performed by anyone other than Troyer Roofing.
- Unforeseen Conditions: Damage resulting from conditions that pre-existed the installation, such as structural settling, deck rot, or inadequate attic ventilation.
- Manufacturer Defects: Defects in the roofing materials (shingles, underlayment, etc.), which are covered solely by the Shingle Manufacturer’s Material Warranty.
IV. Claim Procedure
To file a claim under this Workmanship Warranty, the Warranty Holder must:
- Notify Troyer Roofing in writing immediately upon discovery of the suspected defect, but no later than thirty (30) days from the discovery date.
- Provide the original Date of Installation Completion and Project Address.
Troyer Roofing will inspect the reported issue within a reasonable timeframe to determine if the damage is covered by this warranty. If the damage is covered, Troyer Roofing will perform the necessary repairs.
